Halloween Outreach

No Impact This Thursday October 28th!!!!!!
Instead we will be out serving in the community in San Jose at Nancy Lane Apartments. We will help the Great Commission Outreach with their annual Harvest Festival for the kids. There will be a BBQ, pinatas and much more. This is an excellent way to love on children and their families that are in need of Jesus. Many of these kids come from broken homes, or homes that are less than desirable for any one to grow up in. The Great commission Outreach consists of a husband and wife who have a desire to see that these kids do not grow up in the gang lifestyle. Instead they would turn their lives over to Christ and grow up to be the Godly men and women that they are intended to be.

Time:6:30-8:30

Where: We will meet at the KOHL's parking lot at 6:00 p.m. and carpool over together. (This is the KOHL'S on Hamilton and 880 in Campbell.) Carpooling is HIGHLY reccommended as parking is limited at the location. If you must come up alone please let Sara know so she can expect you. In fact you can carpool from where ever you'd like again just let Sara know.

Donations: Please let Sara know if you plan on bringing anything that night, so there is no over buying of food. Items needed are: hotdogs, juice boxes, deserts and hotdog buns.

Love in Action -- Community Outreach Day

On Saturday May 9th Impact and Summit are sponsoring the first Love in Action Day. On this day we will be doing 5 separate projects in the Silicon Valley area. Participants must sign up (Sign-up sheets will be available at Impact).

Note that we are no longer offering the San Jose Family shelter because slots have filled up and they cannot accept any more volunteers.

Skyline Health Care Center:
We will be visiting bedridden seniors at Skyline Center with music, board
games, and ourselves. Location: 2065 Forrest Ave, San Jose, 95128. 9:30AM –
12:30PM.

Home Improvement:
for an elderly woman Palo Alto. Do yardwork and drain a pond during the
early afternoon. 1PM – 4PM.

Bayshore Christian Ministries:
Prepare to do various indoor and outdoor tasks including painting, gardening
and some fix-up. Location: 1001 Beech St., East Palo Alto, 94303. We have a
morning and an afternoon session: 9AM – 1PM and 1PM – 5PM.

Help One Child:
for foster children during a Mother’s Day brunch Location: Union
Presbyterian Church, 858 University Ave, Los Altos. 9:15AM – 12:30PM.

Prayer Team:
join for a Prayer Night before Saturday and do Prayer Walks on the actual
day. Location: WestGate Church, 1735 Saratoga Ave., San Jose, 95129. Friday
May 8, 7:00PM.
