Impact Starts September 15th!!!!

Greetings Impacters,
Well the leaves are changing, the air is a little cooler, school is back in session and that can only mean one thing...Impact is returning for its 5th year. So if you have been waiting all summer for something to do on Thursday night you're in luck, on September 15th you can come to Impact. This year we'll have great speakers teaching on the book of John, snacks at the snack table and the chance to yet hang out with our friends once more in the parking lot until Scottie calls us all to go the O.

The next Monday Night Hike will occur on September 12th. We'll meet at the usual spot at Rancho San Antonio at 5:45 and hike for a few hours. Then we'll head to dinner afterwards. Come out and join us, there won't be too many Monday Night Hikes left for the year....

Carmel Beach Bonfire - Saturday July 9th

You and your friends are invited to a Carmel Beach Bonfire THIS SATURDAY! We'll go down after lunch and have afternoon tea and scones at the Tuck Box,walk around Carmel for a while and go down to the beach and have a classic bon fire with beans and hotdogs. Have a light lunch on your own!

Where? Meet at Kohl's Parking lot @12:15: 525 E Hamilton. We'll carpool from there! Tuck Box at 2:00 PM. If you would like to meet us at the beach, we'll be south of 10th Street on the Carmel Beach, just look for us any time after 6.

Prayer Night: May 13th

Hike Saturday May 14th!

You and your friends are invited to hike with us this Saturday. Between Half Moon Bay & Pacifica on Hwy 1, there is a beautiful hike with great wildflowers! It is a nice wide fire road- bring water & good shoes. Also bring a sack lunch for a picnic on the beach, we'll eat before hitting the trail. Then we will take a 2 hour hike up to a 1840 feet point that overlooks the ocean, San Francisco and the Bay Area. It only takes 45 min to get back.

You are invited to participate in the next homeless outreach in San Francisco. We will meet at the commuter lot at the intersection of Page Mill Road and 280 at 4:30 pm and together travel up to Haight Street in San Francisco. For this outreach we’ll participate in an outdoor worship event and give out pizza and socks.

If you’d like to donate new socks or a sleeping bag that would be great! We will drive as a group to Haight Street in San Francisco.

Monday Night Hikes – Start May 9th!

Come and join us for the Monday Night Hike starting May 9th! We will hike just a few miles and go to dinner. This is an every other week.

When: Mondays, Every Other Week

Meet at the lower parking lot bathrooms at 6:00 PM

Where: Rancho San Antonio

We are heading up a hike after work in Cupertino. It's at the Rancho San Antonio park.

It'll be a few miles long, nothing treacherous, and we'll be back by dusk.
Be at least a few minutes early - parking can sometimes be a bit tight in there. Carpooling is recommended.

This event will be a regular one, twice a month, as a fellowship night. This event does not intend to be exclusive, so please invite friends. Henry Coe Hike - April 23rd

Vascular plants. They are everywhere. Do we take them for granted? Sometimes. But this weekend, in an exclusive offer from Impact’s events coordination team (IECT), you have an opportunity to experience gymnosperms, dicotyledonous and monocotyledonous angiosperms to perhaps the richest and fullest depths of your plant gazing whilst hiking lives. The Henry Coe Hike. 2644 feet above sea level (approximately the maximal AM radio band wavelength of 600m, or exactly 805891mm). Rain or shine. We think you’re going to like it.

Sunol Hike! Saturday April 16th

Join us in the morning for a great hike in Sunol! We'll meet at Kohl's parking lot at 9:00 AM and drive up to the Sunol Hiking area. We'll have lunch together after the hike.

When? Saturday April 16th at 9:00 AM

Take I-880 N
Take exit 12A to merge onto Mission Blvd toward Sacramento/I-680
Merge onto I-680 N via the ramp to Sacramento
Take exit 21A for Calaveras Rd/State Hwy 84 W toward Sunol/Dumbarton Bridge
Turn right at Calaveras Rd
Drive south on Calaveras about 4 miles to the junction with Geary, and turn left. Continue on Geary almost 2 miles to the park entrance kiosk, then continue past the visitor center to an unmarked dirt lot on the left.

Impact Ski Trip - March 18th-20th

Paint Ball Battle - All Changed Up

Rain canceled the paintball game last weekend, so Kevin has re-scheduled it for this Saturday at Santa Clara Paintball.


He's “shooting” for a start time of 12:00. The cost is $60, which includes all-day entry plus gun, equipment, unlimited air, and 250 paintballs. The address is

Kevin's group will be meeting at 4:30 in the parking lot of In-N-Out in Rengstorff Center just off HWY 101 in Mountain View after they do paintball. Then they will drive to farmerbrownsf.com and enjoy some tasty soul food before walking over to the concert around 7:15. Everyone in the carpool will chip-in for gas and parking, so please bring small $ denominations. NOTE: The concert is sold-out, so you must already have a ticket in order to go.

Castle Rock, the Search for Moss Hike Jan 15th

You and your friends are invited to go on a hike Saturday, January 15th at Castle Rock in the Santa Cruz Mountains. First we’ll meet at  Kohl's Parking lot off Hamilton and head up from there. I’ll be at Panera's early at about 8:30 AM, then we head up at 9:00 AM to Castle Rock’s trail head. After the hike, we’ll head out for lunch.

What? Hike: Castle Rock in the Santa Cruz Mountians. Moderate with some dangerous cliffs and slippery stairs.

Where? Meet at Kohl's parking lot, 9:00 AM

When? Saturday, Janurary 15th (meet me at 8:30 Panera's if you want coffee and to talk about why it would take a computer with printer 56x10E4000 pages of paper to iterate through all the permutations of a type written page to generagte one that was the first page of the constitution, and what that number means to you...
What to bring? Hiking shoes, backpack, water, $6-15 for lunch money
